Couillard Solar Foundation
Expanding solar and reducing our reliance on fossil fuel
through grants and education
We have one mission: to help Wisconsin nonprofits get solar for their organizations.
Nonprofit organizations all over Wisconsin are looking for ways to take part in the renewable energy revolution happening right now. The Couillard Solar Foundation (CSF) was created to help them do just that.
The concept is simple. Give nonprofits a boost in the form of a grant to help make solar affordable. Since 2017, CSF has helped over 100 nonprofit organizations, from churches, schools and libraries to service organizations and programs that help Wisconsin citizens with basic needs like food and shelter.
We do this primarily through two programs. Solar for Good and Solar on Schools promote solar by supplying solar panels directly to projects, reducing their installation costs. CSF is also expanding the impact of our work by developing an outreach program using the principles established by the Array It Forward movement in Wisconsin.

Couillard Solar Foundation in Numbers
Introducing the Couillard Solar Foundation Solar Canopy
Blending solar power with elegant design, this canopy can be used for any design aesthetic, since it’s sold separately from the support structure. The canopy is modular (suitable for residential, commercial or public spaces) and easy to install.
Use for anything from outdoor classrooms to parking lot charging areas to commercial or residential pergolas or pavilions
All net proceeds from the sale of our solar canopy go to support the Solar for Good and Solar on Schools grant programs.
Join the Couillard Solar Foundation Mission
Every project the Couillard Solar Foundation supports in turn supports hundreds of people through that organization’s mission, whether it’s through education, poverty alleviation, housing for seniors, veterans services, faith based community initiatives or help for animals. By donating to the Couillard Solar Foundation, you support efforts to reduce overhead costs for oganizations who can then use those savings to do even more for their communities.
Your donation goes far beyond the immediate value of helping to pay for a solar array. It extends 25 to 30 years into the future, as that solar array continues to reduce utility costs and offers clean renewable energy for every organization who receives a Couillard Solar Foundation program grant, long after the grant has been disbursed.
